Yes, I’m talking about the new LEGO set, the Emerald Night. I’m a sucker for great parts and attention to detail, plus I was obsessed with trains when I was younger. Just take a look at this picture and tell me this train isn’t the meaning of “sexy”.

Apparently it will be shipped on the 15th of April. I can’t wait! I’ll most definitely blog it for you guys.

Brickscope is my favorite store so far. It has reasonable prices and free insurance is provided with each and every order. The fact that there’s no minimum order makes this store a real win! They have a setup called “minifig surprise”, where you can order a brand new minifig with random parts and accessories, which is a real help in building up that minifig army you’ve always wanted!
The seller, Zoe, has brilliant customer service. Emails are responded to quickly, and she’ll be more than happy to help you if you get stuck. She’s confident enough in the stores service that she’ll leave positive feedback for you (if you’re a good buyer) right after you’ve paid, before you leave feedback for her! Not many sellers I’ve seen will do this. She also likes to include a little gift in each order.

Conclusion: I can’t recommend Brickscope enough. Zoe is friendly, fast and helpful. Each and every order truly does leave a smile on my face.

The Medieval Market Village is pretty much the greatest Lego set I’ve ever gotten my dirty little paws on. It has a 1601 pieces, and attention to detail that’s on par with other great sets such as Market Street and Green Grocer with things such as a beer keg, paintings on the walls, an oven, and even horse manure. The Architecture in this set is also astoundingly beautiful.

The set also comes with eight(!) minifigures, with a very nice surprise… double sided torsos, just like in the new Pirate sets! Absolutely perfect for brickfilming!

The value for money the Medieval Market Village provides is outstanding. It took me about four hours to assemble the whole thing; the longest it’s taken me to build any set so far.

So, the Pros and Cons…

Pros:

• 8 minifigures, 5 of which are double sided
• Amazing attention to detail
• Lots of props, like tables, chairs, market stalls, a cart, a tree and more
• Great value for money
• Hard to get pieces, such as the turkey
• Brand new pieces such as fish and cows

Cons:

• Umm…

All in all, this is the greatest set I’ve ever owned and possibly the greatest Lego set ever. If Lego keeps making sets like this one, I’ll have to get a second job to keep buying it all.
